Augustus (27 BC. - 14 AD.), uncertain mint in Hispania (Tarraco or Colonia Patricia?), 18 BC., 
Denarius (17-18 mm / 3,46 g), silver, axes coin alignment ↑↓ (ca. 180°), 
Obv.: [S] · P · Q · R · PAREN[T] / CONS · SVO , regalia awarded a successful general: toga picta over tunica palmata flanked on left by legionary aquila and on right by wreath; 3 mm circular diebreak at center between top legend, toga and wreath and 2 mm between NS in lower legend. 
Rev.: CAESARI above, AVGVSTO in exergue, triumphal quadriga advancing right, ornamented with one Victory and surmounted by a small galloping quadriga; banker´s mark "A" on front horse´s body, AΛI.. graffitty above triumphal quadriga.

This unusual issue depicts consular ornamenta - the garments worn by triumphing generals and the Consul, nominally head of the Roman State. These included the tunica palmata, a tunic embroidered with golden palmettes, and the toga picta, an elaborately embroidered purple toga.
