5 Lire (Scudo) (ø 37 mm / 22,73 g), silvered(?) white metal alloy, axes coin alignment ↑↓ (180°), plain edge with incuse lettering "FERT" three times divided by ornaments and rosettes, for genuine coins: 25,00 g. theor. mint weight (0.900 silver), mintage 162.000 , 
Obv.: CAR·FELIX D·G·REX SAR·CYP·ET HIER· / A·LAVY / 1824 , his head facing right, engraver´s name at truncation, date below. 
Rev.: DVX SAB·GENVAE ET MOTISF·PRING·PED·&· / (L in a rhomb) - L·5· (eagle head left) , crowned spade-shaped shield of 4-fold arms, a central shield showing the Savoy eagle, collar of order suspended below, all  within oak wreath, value 'L.5.' divides mintmarks at bottom.

Charles Felix (Carlo Felice Giuseppe Maria; 6 April 1765 – 27 April 1831) was the Duke of Savoy, Piedmont, Aosta and King of Sardinia from 1821 to 1831. Carlo Felice di Savoia was born in Turin as the eleventh child and fifth son born to Victor Amadeus III of Savoy and Maria Antonietta of Spain. His paternal grandparents were Charles Emmanuel III of Savoy and his German wife Polyxena Christina of Hesse-Rotenburg. His maternal grandparents were French born King Philip V of Spain and his Italian wife Elizabeth Farnese.
