Rev.: EΠI AYP ANTEPΩTOC ZΩTIK APX A / AΠ - ΠI / AN - ΩN , Zeus Laodikeos standing l., holding eagle and scepter.

Appia is a rare mint: von Aulock could only document its entire coinage with a mere 63 specimens. H. von Aulock, Münzen Phrygiens Teil I, has two coins from the same dies, nos. 210-211, plus six more from the same obv. die but a different rev. die of the same type, nos. 204-209. Altogether eight spec. of this coin, all from the same obv. die.
