Sala in Lydia, Hadrianus for Antinous, 130-138 AD.,
Æ 21 (20-21 mm / 7,76 g),
Obv.: HPΩC - AN[TINO] , draped bust of Antinous facing right.
Rev.: CA - [ΛH] - NΩN , Dionysos standing, r., crossing legs, holding bunch of grapes in right hand, left hand supporting kantharos resting with l. arm on column.

This city was in eastern Lydia, and occupied the territory between Blaundus and Tripolis north of the River Sindrus
(BMC., Lydia, p. xciv). Quasi-autonomous and Imperial coins—Domitian to Sev. Alex. Inscr., CΑΛΗÎΩÎ, and in Domitian’s time ΔΟΜΙΤΙΑÎΟ- ΠΟΛЄΙΤΩΠCΑΛΗÎΩÎ. Magistrates’ titles, Archon or First Archon. Also Hiereus in Trajan’s time.
