Stobi was situated at the confluence of the rivers Axius and Erigon in the Paionia district of Macedonia. No coins are known to have been struck there before it became a Roman Municipium (probably at the times of Vespasian). Imperial issues are known from Titus and Domitian up to to Geta´s reign.
