BMC Troas pg. 324, 11 ; SNG von Aulock 7810 (Memnon of Rhodes) ; Klein, K.M. 51, 365 ; Plant 2738 ; SNG Cop. - ; SNG Tübingen 2754 .
From at least the early 1900s, this type has been traditionally assigned to Memnon of Rhodes, but there is no evidence to substantiate such a specific attribution. The style of the obverse links it to the "map" issues of the Achaemenid satraps in Ionia, which have been dated to circa 350-333 BC.
