Obv.: भारत - INDIA , Lion capital of Ashoka at center, "INDIA" in English and "Bharat" in Hindi flanking on either side. Type 2 obverse: Asoka lion pedestal more imposing. Side lions with 3 or 4 fur rows, more elegant D in INDIA
Rev.: रुपये का दसवाँ भाग / 10 / दस पैसे / 1970 / ♦ , "Rupye ka dusva bhaag" (tenth of a rupee) / (ten paise) in Hindi above and below big value number in western numerals at center, western date and mint mark ♦ below.

Type 1: Side lions toothless with 2 to 3 fur rows, short squat D in INDIA. (only Hyderabad 1968)
Type 2: Asoka lion pedestal more imposing. Side lions with 3 or 4 fur rows, more elegant D in INDIA.
