Obverse::
Draped bust to right, crown with a gold inlay, in right hand cross szeptre, left to head ear sceptre, a small triangle hanging left at the crown, at right of the crown a small triangle with a very small circle with a gold inlay below (the Kaleb's crown hanging up with chaines), script around in Geez: "NEGUS ARMEH" (= King Armeh)

Reverse:
An arch representing the Church of Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, upon this arch the “True Cross“, which was restored by Heracleus there in AD 629, the cross having an inlay of gold is flanked by cross sceptres, in the arch hanging Kaleb's crown also with an inlay of gold, script around in Geez: "SLW SLM" (= grace and peace)

Hahn's sub-types 1 and 2 refer to the shape of the Armeh's crown. His drawing of this sub-type shows a pointed arch and long chains of Kaleb's crown, this coin shows a rounded arch and short chains.
