This commemorative celebrates the 100th Anniversary of Fort Calgary, 1875-1975. Doug Stephens is known as Calgary's original Cowboy Artist (the Doug Stephens collection of Stampede Dollars, which were used as legal tender in Calgary).
The 1975 Calgary Stampede Dollar ("The Storm") is the fifth in a series of 10 featuring the sculpture of the Calgary Horsemen's Hall of Fame western artist, Doug Stephens.
