Rev.: CINQ / CENTIMES / L´AN 8 • / (Artemis) AA (helmet) , value, currency, mint mark and privy marks within an oak wreath. - dans une couronne de chêne très fournie.

The liberty head was designed by Augustin Dupré (1748-1833) - Engraver-General at the Paris Mint from 1791 to Germinal, Year XI (March-April 1803). The small figure on the reverse field is the goddess Artemis drawing a bow and is Dupré's privy mark.
