Obv.: [AVT] KAI M AV - K[ΟΜΜΟΔΟC ΑÎ] , laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Commodus facing right, 6 countermarks:
1: Nike left on globe, in circular punch, 6 mm, (Howgego 258, 9 pcs), this cm was applied to both sides of all coins (see reverse);
2 & 3: bust of Asklepios right in rectangular punch, 4 x 6 mm, Howgego 5? (1 pc);
4: laur bust right (Elagabalus) in circular punch, 6 mm, Howgego 100 (11 pcs), probably applied during the reign of Elagabalus;
5: goat standing right?, in roughly 5 mm circular punch, Howgego 313?;
6: uncertain - a figure standing left in oval punch 4 x 7 mm (Howg. 257/263 ?, Nike left?).
Rev.: [ΚΟΜΟΔΙΑÎW] - ΠΑ - [ΔΡΙΑΠΑΙΓΕΑΙΩΠΕΤ] / ΔΛ - [C] , Athena standing, facing, head, l., holding Nike over goat or stag in left field, resting arm on shield, 1 countermark Nike left on globe, in circular punch, 6 mm, (Howgego 258) as on obverse.
