Topiros in Thracia, Antoninus Pius, issued by C. Iulius Commodus Orfitianus, Legatus Augusti pro praetore provinciae Thraciae, struck 154–155 AD.,

Obv.: ΑΥ Κ Τ ΑΙ ΑΔΡΙ - ΑÎΤΩÎΙÎOC , laureate head of Antoninus Pius right, circular countermark with monogram on neck: monogram of MAT (?) in circular punch, 6 mm. The monogram may read Marcus Antoninus or Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, and may have been applied at the time of Marcus Aurelius - Caracalla. Some Caracalla´s coins of Topirus have a countermark-like feature engraved on the die. .
Rev.: ΕΠΙ ΙΟΥ ΚΟ - ΜΟΔΟΥ ΤΟΠΕ / ΙΡΕΙΤΩΠ, nude Heracles seated on rock covered with lion-skin, l., resting r. arm on club, resting l. arm on rock.
